She saw this beautiful handsome man
At the edge of the well
She, who had lived so hard
With too many men Who Promised Her Love

Yet this man, at the edge of the well
Asked her for water
Water…mother, freedom, life
This light of a man, spoke to her

Then the story is changed by patriarchy and turned into a lesson on sin and forgiveness.  The woman is so sinful, and must stop sinning in order to gain eternal life.  (Excuse me while I throw up).

This beautiful woman at the edge of the well
Met this beautiful man at the edge of the well
He honored her feminine
He spoke to her of the Goddess she is

The water was cool and fresh and clean
His acceptance and love of her Goddess Self
Made her feel cool, fresh and clean
Something men, culture and her own mind had not made her feel in a very long time.

The first husband beat her
The second husband raped her
The third husband prostituted her
The fourth husband shamed her relentlessly
The fifth husband drank wine and passed out before noon every day
The man she lived with now ignored her completely, to her relief…

But this Jewish man, Jeshua, sat with her at the well
He spoke of many truths which gave heart and soul wings
He met her feminine Goddess self and honored Her.
The vibration between them was palpable.

She wept.

Her past was swept away.
She remembered who she is.
She knew she was equal to the Jewish, Jeshua prophet.
She knew women were forever healed.

She returned home the queen Goddess she had always been.
She packed her meager belongings and walked out the door.
Past her husband talking with other men – not noticing she was leaving.
She passed the gossiping Goddesses, saying a prayer that they may find their Goddess self too.

She had great gratitude for the Gift of meeting
Jeshua at the edge of the well.
Her future and past had been transformed
At that holy instant, there was only love.
